FlexoBPM Server

The FlexoBPM Server is a collaborative web portal that gives FlexoBPM Business users access to the following services:


• share FlexoBPM models with versioning and check-in/check-out capabilities;
• autonomously generate animated storyboards, IT application prototypes and documentation from the model;
• manage the enterprise portfolio of business processes;
• publish process maps with links to documentation, operating procedures and other existing files or assets;
• collaboratively edit documentation with validation workflow;
• generate a skeleton of code (BPEL, Java, .net, ...) for executing the model.

Storyboarding:

Storyboards translate abstract process models into concrete web applications where every step of the process is visually explained as a web screen.
Storyboarding is a very efficient tool for embarking non-specialists into business process re-engineering and change management. It allows them to position their individual activity on the process map and it helps them to better understand the global process.

Documentation:

Documentation is produced by combining manually written sections with sections that are automatically generated based on customizable generation templates. These templates select the information and screenshots to be extracted from the models.

Several documentation targets are available: business and technical documentation as well as standard operating procedures. Multi-lingual targets can also be used.

The FlexoBPM Server offers a unique and efficient environment for collaboratively managing this multi-facetted documentation. 

Enterprise Portfolio Management:

The FlexoBPM Server also provides an online service for managing the portfolio of processes and other enterprise assets:  
•  Roles and functions.
•  Departments.
•  Generated FlexoBPM documentations.
•  Files from Document Management Systems such as quality forms, operating procedures, regulation directives, etc.
•  Risks.
•  IT assets, such as servers, applications, databases, etc.
•  ...

The Enterprise Portfolio Service manages the interconnection between enterprise assets. This allows the user to retrieve, for example, the processes impacted when a key stakeholder leaves the company or when an IT application is replaced by a new release. Reference documents associated with specific activities can also be easily found.

FlexoBPM Publisher:

Integrated with the Enterprise Portfolio Service, this service publishes cross-referenced information of enterprise assets using the model maps. For instance, process maps are used to filter and present roles, guidelines, applications or documents that are relevant to the user for a specific process step.

The FlexoBPM Publisher service is very unique in providing a unified view on processes, documents and operating procedures above any external Document Management System.
